Stellar ONE

Set up and use Stellar ONE — live TV and video-on-demand on your Smart TV.

Stellar ONE is in pre-release. Availability and some features described here may change before launch.

Overview

Stellar ONE is a streaming app for Smart TVs. It plays live channels and video-on-demand through a clean, remote-friendly interface built for the living room. Stellar ONE is the player — you bring your own streaming service, and the app handles everything else.

The app is built specifically for the television, so there is no phone, casting device, or extra hardware involved.

Supported Devices

Stellar ONE runs directly on your Smart TV. No phone, casting device, or extra hardware is required — only an active internet connection.

Stellar ONE is in pre-release and has not yet launched. Public release on Samsung Smart TVs is planned for 2026, pending Samsung store approval, with Android TV and LG webOS to follow.

  • Samsung Smart TV — Tizen 4.0 or newer (2018 models and later). Launching 2026 (in private testing).
  • Android TV — dedicated version in development. Planned for 2026.
  • LG webOS — dedicated version in development. Planned for 2026.

How Stellar ONE Works

Your account, subscription, and channel list are managed on the Stellar Synergy Labs website. The Stellar ONE app itself is purely a player: once your device is activated, it automatically loads your channels and program guide and keeps them up to date in the background. There is nothing to configure by hand on the TV.

In short — manage your service on the website, and watch on the app.

Getting Started

  1. Install Stellar ONE from your TV's app store.
  2. Open the app. On first launch, it activates your device automatically.
  3. Your 7-day free trial will begin. The app loads your channels and program guide, and playback starts.

On first launch, Stellar ONE may offer to scan your video-on-demand library so it can display running times and remember your progress. You can run this scan then, or later from Settings.

The Remote Control

Stellar ONE is fully controlled with your standard TV remote.

Navigation

  • Arrow keys — move between items.
  • OK — select or confirm.
  • Back — go back or close the current screen.
  • Channel Up / Down — change channel during live TV, or move between items in VOD.

Color shortcuts

  • Red — open Settings.
  • Green — open Audio & Subtitles.
  • Blue — open the TV Guide.

Watching Live TV

Press a key to bring up the info bar at the bottom of the screen — it shows the channel, the current programme, and the time, then hides itself after a few seconds.

Change channels with the channel keys or the arrow keys. Pressing quickly through several channels skips ahead without reloading each one; playback settles on the channel you stop on.

The info bar also shows what is on now and what is coming up next on that channel.

The Channel Browser

Press OK to open the channel browser. Channels are organized into categories, and TV series are grouped together — open a series to see its seasons, then its episodes.

Each row shows useful context: the current programme and progress for live channels, or the running time and your watch progress for video-on-demand. Use the arrow keys to move, left and right to page through long lists, and the channel keys to jump between categories.

The TV Guide

Press the Blue button (or press Up twice while watching a live channel) to open the full program guide for the current channel.

The guide shows past, current, and upcoming programmes, with the current programme highlighted and a progress bar showing how far along it is. Select any programme to read its description. The guide refreshes automatically.

Programme reminders — Stellar ONE can show a small on-screen alert when a programme is about to begin (10 minutes before, 1 minute before) and when a new programme starts. These reminders can be turned on or off individually in Settings.

Video on Demand

Video-on-demand plays with a seek bar so you can move through a title easily. Stellar ONE remembers where you stopped and resumes from that point the next time you open it.

To move through a title, hold the left or right arrow — the longer you hold, the faster it scrubs. Finished titles are marked as watched, and for series, Stellar ONE can automatically continue to the next episode.

Audio & Subtitles

Press the Green button to open the Audio & Subtitles menu. Audio tracks — including alternative languages — are listed on the left, and subtitle tracks on the right. Subtitles can also be switched off.

Your audio and subtitle choices are remembered per channel. Subtitle text size can be set to small, normal, or large in Settings.

Settings

Open Settings with the Red button. From here you can adjust:

  • Playlist refresh — how often the channel list updates
  • Buffering — how much the app buffers before playback starts and after a pause
  • Info bar timeout — how long the info bar stays visible
  • Reconnect delay — how long the app waits before retrying a stream
  • Programme reminders — the now-playing and pre-show alerts
  • Up Next countdown — automatic continuation for series
  • Subtitle size — small, normal, or large
  • Scan video-on-demand — detect running times across your library

Starting Automatically

Stellar ONE can open automatically when you turn on your TV. The Settings screen includes step-by-step instructions for enabling your Samsung TV's "Autorun Last App" feature.

Licensing

At launch, Stellar ONE will include a 7-day free trial. After the trial, a one-time payment of €20 will unlock a lifetime license for that television. Final pricing and trial terms may change before public release.

The license is tied to the individual TV, so each television needs its own license. Purchases are made through the Stellar Synergy Labs website.

Troubleshooting

A channel won't play or keeps buffering. Stellar ONE retries automatically. If it persists, check your internet connection and that your streaming service is active.

The picture quality changes. Stellar ONE adjusts quality automatically based on your connection, so the picture may shift as network conditions change.

The program guide is empty right after install. Guide data loads in the background — give it a short while after first launch and it will appear.

An audio track or subtitle isn't labelled with a language. On some live channels, language labels appear a few seconds after you tune in.

My video didn't resume where I left off. Resume applies to video-on-demand. Live channels always start at the live point.
